Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 October 2026

These Terms govern your use of civion.cloud and the Civion calculation tools and services (the “Service”). By using the site, joining the early-access list, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

Civion is an early-access project. Contact: hugo@civion.cloud.

2. The Service

Civion is a software tool for structural engineering calculations to EN 1992-1-1 (Eurocode 2). The Service is in development. Features, outputs and availability may change, and parts of the Service may be offered as an early-access beta.

The website provides product information and may collect expressions of interest for early access. No calculation service is provided through the public website itself.

3. Engineering responsibility

Civion is a calculation aid, not a design service. You remain responsible for the inputs, assumptions, interpretation and verification of every result. A qualified engineer must independently check all calculations, details and outputs before they are used on any project. Do not rely on the Service for safety-critical decisions without independent verification.

You must not use the Service as the sole basis for a design, construction or certification decision.

4. Early-access beta

Early access is provided free of charge, “as is”, and may be changed, suspended or discontinued at any time. No service level, availability or data-retention commitment applies during the beta. Do not use beta outputs in production work without independent verification.

5. Accounts and acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service unlawfully or to infringe the rights of others;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
  • resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties without our written permission;
  • upload malicious code or content that you do not have the right to use.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, text and branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You retain ownership of the input data and project information you submit. You grant us the limited rights needed to process that data to provide the Service.

7. Payments

The early-access beta is free. No payment is taken. Before any paid plan is introduced, pricing, payment and refund terms will be published. At that point, payments will be processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd or its affiliates as the Merchant of Record, and Paddle’s buyer terms will apply in addition to these Terms. Prices and taxes will be shown at checkout.

8. Refunds

No payment is taken during early access, so no refund applies. Before any paid plan is introduced, a refund policy will be published. If you believe a charge is wrong, contact hugo@civion.cloud.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result is correct for your project.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, projects or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim; during the free beta, that amount is zero.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.

13. Contact
